HAIR: The American Tribal Love Rock Musical is the original rock musical. Written in the late 1960’s at the height of Vietnam War explores themes of protest, strong racial tensions, police brutality, the beginnings of the sexual revolution, feminist movements, The Black Panthers, new spirituality and the psychedelic experience, it gave birth to hit songs like “Aquarius” popularized by The 5th Dimension, “Ain’t Got No” as performed by Nina Simone, “Easy To Be Hard” covered by Three Dog Night, and “The Flesh Failures/ Let the Sunshine In” again popularized by The 5th dimension (and the 40 Year Old Virgin). We are looking for a strong diverse cast of all backgrounds, sizes, sexualities, and genders to explore the themes of HAIR and their relevance to today. The show does contain nudity, and strong themes of drug culture and sexuality. Auditions are open to anyone 15+, with actors under the age of 18 needing parental consent.
