Performing arts education for kids aged 5 - 7 who are ready to take that next step without their parents.

It’s time for kids to get brave, bold, and creative as they take their first independent steps into the world of musical theatre magic!

In addition to learning and performing songs and dances from the Broadway Songbook, kids will immerse themselves in the inspired world of costume, prop, and set design. Don’t be surprised if your sheets go missing as they create their very own stages and curtains at home.

Time Commitment: Six, one-hour-long sessions

Schedule: 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Saturdays, Sept. 7 - Oct. 12

Intermediate 1: Broadway Kiddos Build Characters

Kids Exploratorium – Imagination Station

Slightly more intense arts education for Broadway-bound kids in second — sixth grade. Some experience is preferred but not necessary.

Your child has learned the art of bringing a character to life from a page — now’s their chance to discover the characters budding in their own imaginations. Students will be encouraged to develop their own characters with unique voices, mannerisms, personalities, and backstories. The group will then come together to create skits using their creations. The final class will be a performance of the polished sketches. Family can attend and video will be provided. If students aren’t already open, brave, and silly, this class will certainly get them out of their shell!

Cost: $125

Tweens and teens who have walked the boards already are invited to a more personal, in-depth theatrical education. Whether planning to pursue musical theatre in college, or just eager to learn, students will end this season with solid skills and extra confidence.

To become a true triple threat, students will hone their dancing, singing, and acting skills with scene studies, dance routines, group music theory, and solo song studies. The final class will be a performance for family. Video will be available.
